This gray resin is highly accurate and provides both lower deformation due to shrink and improved sidewall characteristics when compared to competitive SLA materials.
SC 5500 offers a number of exceptional mechanical properties including high impact strength, good rigidity, and elevated tensile strength. This superior material simulates ABS and is ideal for applications requiring exceptional detail including master patterns, concept models, and parts for functional testing. SC 5500 is only offered from Solid Concepts and utilizes their HDSL technology for Stereolithography parts, building in 0.004" – 0.006" layer thickness. Even with its extensive improvements, Solid Concepts offers this material at no additional cost.
